Have you ever noticed that when you read a book or anything for that matter, that there's a voice in your head.. Like someone narrating it to you? I don't know about other people but for me this voice keeps changing..
It used to be James Earl Jones when I was in school.. Maybe that was my mind's way of making studying fun.. Bah.. who am I kidding... It's never fun but at least Lord Vader kept me up and at'em...
At one point it was an evangelist... but that was just when something sounded preachy to me and I had to get through it..
It's very rare that it's your own voice though... That's maybe cause no man likes to be alone.. We always like this sense of someone being there.. When we lean back against a sofa or pillow and read.. It feels just like that time when Mom or Dad used to read to us before we slept..
That's probably what I think is the origin for the voice... The fact that the habit of reading comes from us being read to at first..
Coming back to the voice that have come to my head..
During my exams.. When you're reading your question paper and you know you're gonna get jack-fucked.. I found George Bush talking to me... Cause if he could be the President of the United States.. Heck.. I could pass this stupid shit exam..
And just like The Beatles... When I find my self in times of trouble.. Mother Mary comes to me... Well not Mary... Just my mom... That's cause me and I'm sure all of us... Feel best when we know our moms are there with us...
Ok... I think I should've mentioned this before... But the voice comes to you when you're instructing yourself to do something...
At the gym... It's always the voice of one of those angry army sergeant from a movie... "Drop and give me twenty you worthless piece of shit"
Ok ya... So that's about it... I haven't written anything in like a year so excuse the utter lameness of this article... This just popped into my head when well... Elisha Cuthbert was talking to me... (Please don't ask when)
Ciao
